The Befrienders

Open Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 12.30pm to 2.00pm

The Befrienders can be found in a room in the Roundabout Café.

What Do The Befrienders Do?

The Befrienders give free food, clothing and toiletries to Swindon's homeless community.  Free food is for the homeless only and allocated at one hot meal per person per week.

The Befrienders are volunteers and offer a non-judgemental listening ear to those who need one and can offer advice on where to find help.

The Befrienders is primarily funded by Central Church but also receives donations from the public and from fundraising.

How You Can Help

We will be pleased to receive donations of:

  • Toiletries - toothpaste, disposable razors, soap, shampoo, roll-on deodorant (no aerosols)
  • Clothing - jeans, socks, underwear, jumpers, coats, trainers, gloves, scarves, hats
  • Money - which will pay for hot meals, clothing and toiletries as needed

Donations can be brought into the Befrienders during open hours or left in the Pilgrim Centre Office between 9am and 4pm weekdays.
